# Testing And Evaluation
Hello Readers....
In this blog I'm writing about two aspects is about validity and reliability of the test. In this blog we are having knowledge about that two things and how its effect us and how we use this things in our Study. The things are now change so how we change our learning styles that's also important.
Question: 1
Write on validity and reliability of the test.
In this blog we are talking about the validity and reliability of the test. Test-retest reliability is a measure of reliability obtained by administering the same test twice over a period of time to a group of individuals. Concepts of Reliability and Validity. Test reliability and validity are two technical properties of a test that indicate the quality and usefulness of the test. These are the two most important features of a test. Reliability and validity are important aspects of selecting a survey instrument. Reliability refers to the extent that the instrument yields the same results over multiple trials. Validity refers to the extent that the instrument measures what it was designed to measure.
In research, there are three ways to approach validity and they include content validity, construct validity, and criterion-related validity. You should examine these features when evaluating the suitability of the test for your use. Reliability is the extent to which an experiment, test, or any measuring procedure yields the same result on repeated trials. This words provides a simplified explanation of these two complex ideas. These explanations will help you to understand reliability and validity information reported in test manuals and reviews and use that information to evaluate the suitability of a test for your use.
Question : 2
Difference between Assessment and evaluation.
It refers to the economy of time, effort and money in testing. In other words, a test should be easy to design, easy to administer, easy to mark, and easy to interpret the results. Assessment focuses on learning, teaching and outcomes. It provides information for improving learning and teaching. Assessment is an interactive process between students and faculty that informs faculty how well their students are learning what they are teaching. The information is used by faculty to make changes in the learning environment, and is shared with students to assist them in improving their learning and study habits. This information is learner-centered, course based, frequently anonymous, and not graded.
• Evaluation focuses on grades and may reflect classroom components other than course content and mastery level. These could include discussion, cooperation, attendance, and verbal ability.
In the previous sections, we have thought mainly about some of the more distinctive features of poetry, and the problems they could present for our learners. In the rest of this chapter we turn our attention to some of the practical tasks and activities we can use to exploit poems in the classroom. In this section we look at some ways in which poetry can be used with students at elementary and low-intermediate level.
