Here I am going to wrote about Journalism. We know that journalism is generally defined as the production and distribution of reports on recent events, and also I am wrote about the lead writing and features writing. This blog is my academic task given by Vaidehi Hariyani medam from Department of English Bhavnagar University.

Journalism examines the skills needed to work as a journalist in newspapers, television, radio, and online. ... It offers a wide range of comments and tips on the best way to approach stories and includes interviews with journalists working on a variety of news outlets, from the BBC to weekly newspapers.

Word ' Journal' Journalism, journalist ' have their origin in the French derivation' journal' the Latin term ' diurnalis' means ' daily', Around 130 B. C. in Rome there grew a practice of putting up two handwriting practice of putting up two handwriting bulletins in the main public square.

The industrial Revolution brought in so many profitable advertisements that news gradually began to be pushed into the inside pages. Views were expressed more widely in pamphlets as 'essay' s like those of Addison and steele in the spectator.

There are some kinda of writing,some related with education and some are related with work, filed and news as well. So in news or in a journalism there are some writing and some feature for that,

So let's discuss about these both here. 

What is a lead?

A lead is an opening paragraph that gives the audience the most important information of the news story in a concise and clear manner, while still maintaining the readers' interest. If a reader does not read beyond your first paragraph, they should still have an idea of what your article is about and the most important information from that article. There are many different strategies for writing a good lead as well as many differing opinions, but the strongest opinion is that they are hard and take time. Don't plan on rushing a good lead.

Feature writing

One who knows fully the art of fine writing in all its dimension.

 A journalist who not only can report facts but can transmit the mood and tone of an event who can impress upon the readers the significance of what happens. facts for authority mood and tone for sympathy Interpretation for lucidity qualities of a good feature writer

Inquisitive

Eager to learn 

Sympathetic towards other people's feeling 

Capable of saying beneath the surface of ordinary events

Features are human interest stories that speak of people, places, and situations. They tend to be descriptive and original in ideas and writing skills. But they can go beyond description.

•Key function is to humanize, to add colour, to educate, to entertain, to illuminate.

•A feature story may or may not tied to a current even

•Will often be longer in size than a traditional news story

•Use ‘features’ when you want to..

Conclusion 

Writing is not just only to write anything anyhow but, writer have to write with structure, qualitative words and with a unique way so people will attract to read it. So here as above we can discuss about the feature writing and Lead writing.
